Found this guy outside a casino in Blackhawk CO. Not in a very good spot for pictures. Fairley well presevered. Would look alot better under steam power.
That locomotive is C&S 71, classed a B4E by the C&S. There were two others like it 72 and 73, both were scrapped in 1940 and 1941. This was unfortunatly the only town that took a donation of a locomotive by the C&S. I once heard the C&S was trying to donate another 2-6-0 like the #9. Any way, this locomotive last operated in 1988, it was sold to the CHS in 1988 and moved to the Georgetown loop, but a law suit by some people in Central city quickly dashed any hopes of it operating on the loop. It is in fairly decent shape, but it needs some work on its back driving wheels which currently support the back of the boiler. But for now, unfortunatly, its not going anywhere. Alex
Narrow gauge..............if ONLY I had the patience to model Nn3. Oh well. I guess if I ever decided to do narrow guage I would go with Sn3 for sure!
