You couldn't have picked a better railroad or units to model! [IMG] Espee's C44-9W's are numbered 8100-8200, and were built from May through December 1994. As for the SD70M's, Espee received 25 of em', numbers 9800-9824, all built between June and August 1994.

Thank you for the infromation. I've decided that I want to model the BN and SP during early 1995.

SP is a cool road for modeling because you can add some weird lights among other things to make projects a little more fun.

Does anyone else think that wide nose engines are ugly? SP's were certainly a lot nicer in scarlett and gray than UP's are in yellow, and the EMD units that are flat on top of the nose aren't too bad, but I really don't like the lines of newer GE engines, and prefer the standard nose on EMD engines. I've always felt that SP's GP60s were the last beautiful engines built.

I like the looks of spartan cabs the best, but I do like EMD's supercab, especially the ones found on SD60/70/75/80-series units; the new Phase II cab on the new UP and CP SD90MAC-H units looks horrible in my book! [IMG] I'm not too wild about the GE version, though. The GE supercab design doesn't look as "clean" as the EMD, and just adds to that "clunky" GE look. I like Espee's AC440's and C44-9W's, but I'd probably like them even better if they had regular cabs, like Norfolk Southern's awesome C40-9's. [IMG]
