Can Unijoiners be painted? Unitrack conductivity...

I'm sure this has been discussed before. I'm using floquil paint pens to weather my unitrack. I've painted the rails but have been nervous about painting the unijoiners and the ends of the rails where the unijoiners connect. Is it OK to attach track and paint rails through unijoiners or will it affect conductivity? It would be nice to have whole track look weathered. Any ideas, methods, suggestions?

    thanks for your help!

I think as long as they are on the rail you should be fine. I would not paint the rail then put them on.

Perfectly fine. The entire JACALAR has the unijoiners painted.

There should be no problem, as long as paint does not flow into the metal part of the joiner. Then you might eventually find an issue.
