The 3.0 layout plan for the main level (upper level now) has been posted on the Canton Division Website.

I was able to keep many details from layout plan 2.0. I lost some benchwork in some areas but gained benchwork real estate in other areas. Below are the main highlights of changes in 3.0

    1. City of Bedford is now much smaller. It is a small to medium sized town now.

    2. City of Canton is now larger with new real estate in the downtown area.

    3. City of Arnold and Canton River lost some real estate.

    4. The McCabe Brewery & Bottling will be moved to the City of Marionapolis on the lower level (plan not completed yet)

    Construction Phase One:
Layout construction is currently scheduled to begin in November 2005. The benchwork will be orderd for phase one in late October 2005. Phase one includes all of Bedford and the northern parts of Arnold and Canton River. Phase One will involve fully operational track (Bedord is a mini layout within the large layout. Structures, scenerey and rolling stock will be added too during phase one construction.

    Construction Phase Two:
Includes the remainder of Arnold and Canton River and ending with the extreme northern portion of Canton City. No date has been set for Phase Two Construction. Current esitmate is late spring 2006. Structures, scenerery and rolling stock will continue to be added to the layout during this phase.

    Construction Phase Three:
The remainder of the main level. Phase three is estimated to begin around October or November 2006. The main level should be fully operational by July 2007 with many areas of the layout well under way with scenery.

The lower level is currently not planned to start until sometime in early 2008.

As always I look forward to feedback on the layout design. Go to the Canton Division Website and click on "Layout Plan". Version 3.0 is the current version.
