What's New in Plan 9.0 There are major changes to the layout plan from version 8.0 to 9.0 As of the early morning of 27 JAN 2007, work on drafting plan 9.0 just began. At this time, the major changes are the following: 1. Helix moved from wall bound side of layout to peninsula. 2. Downtown Canton and Steel Mill complex swapped locations (details pending) 3. Downtown Canton more emphasis on backdrop as opposed to freestanding models. This will help with limited vertical space. 4. Lower Level may have split level trackage (differn't elevations) This will add to visual interest and beauty of layout 5. Helix to staging will also be built on peninsula. 6. Benchwork needs to be modified some near old helix site. As the plan progresses....I will post details of it here. Construction will only be delayed for a short period of time as I am now 98.3% sure that new location is where I want to build the helix. The larger helix will help with grade reduction and if there are problems....in the new locaiton, I can access the helix much easier now. Lighting for the lower level will have to be reloacated as the modeling area and non modeling area of the lower level has been swapped. So some re-wiring is on the horizion as well. so yes, this is major reconstruction.
