On my "High Desert & Sierra Railroad" sometimes I run a train with a load of several Caterpillar earth moving machines. The train arrives the yard early in the morning and will be unloaded at the local "Cat" dealer after sunrise.

    incredible detail, layout, and models...

I went through your entire album to make sure nothing was real ;) :D

What do you use for the redish-brown dirt ground cover?

I can't get to Rail Images this morning, but I could see the pictures in the thread.

    Excellent work. Very nice modeling!

Okay, I got through and I looked at each each and every picture. Just really great. I wish we had some of those GP 60s in N scale. It is really great modeling and great weathering. I like the weathering the best.

The partial relief grain silo in the background is just beautiful. Grain hoppers really fit that scene.

I think that the track detail makes everything look so realistic. Really great track work. All painted and weathreed and everything. Also, I like the old Espee engines.

Really great work, Stephan. The engine facility is one of my favorites, too.

This really encourages me. It is always in the details. Great job!

[IMG] I`m really impressed. I never expected this response. You folks embarrass me [IMG]
Derek the ground cover is real dirt from Arizona. [IMG]
Robert, the track is all handlayed and weathered. Its a lot of work but it is worth.
    Thanks for your friendly words

    Stefan;
Awesome work! What's really impressive is that you live a few thousand miles from your subject and still have it look as great as it does! Excellent!

Man, that close up is soooooo good.... Great photo, and it says a lot about the layout that you could defy anyone to say whether its a real loco or a model...fantastic.

Where did you get those HO caterpillar tractors? Great models. [IMG]

Remember that there are two pictures in the Rail Images album that are, indeed, real engines. When I first looked at them, I mean I have seen realistic, but this is ridiculous! Then I saw that they were real! Great modeling!!

Your comments powers me to increase my efforts. [IMG]
Disisme, the Cats are Norscot models. You can get them from Walthers or directly from Norscot.

Well done, Stefan! And that close-up shot of the grungy SP diesel is dead-on, right down to the burned-off paint.

You say that your track is handlaid. What size rail did you use (code 100, 83, 70, etc)?

    Friscobob,
    thank you.
The rail is "Pilz H0 Elite" code 83 from Tillig.
I like it, because it`s weathered and has a cross-section very close to prototype.
