Take a look at David K Smith's Code 25 trackwork on the Photo Contest page: http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/showthread.php?t=112778&page=2 Better yet, take a look at the pavement on the right side of the crossing and the concrete on the left side of the building ! Dang ! .
WOW ! ! !   LOOK at ALL of it! The cracks in the pavement and concrete. The storm drain. The crossing signal. The rain gutter and drain pipe on the building. Truly amazing! David... I will be sure to vote for your entry!
Thanks for the kudos, guys. The strange thing is that the scene in the photo is not yet finished, although no one has mentioned the fact that the grade crossing is missing the flashers to the right of the tracks, at the end of the station platform (the tuft of grass there covers a hole waiting for the flashers). But when I saw the track competition announced, I thought that the area was finished enough to show off the Code 25 switch.
Hi David, there was enough incredible modeling there to blow all of us away, I never even noticed what was missing, I just stared at all the fine detail……, I had a look at your web pages and want to thank you for the time you have put in explaining the “how to’s”, for those not aware of David’s web address here it is: http://jamesriverbranch.net/index.htm Heaps of healpful tips..... Thanks Mike…
