...sitting on the Chaille Block near Navasota, TX today. 4141 ~ George Bush 41 1988 ~ MKT "Katy" 3779 1982 ~ MoPac I had been watching and waiting a few weeks to get some shots of the MoPac paint scheme. Saw them today while on my way to the post office, had to rush back home to get my camera! Merry Christmas
Well, you hit the jackpot on that train! Remember- Gotta keep that camera with you at all times!!! Boxcab E50
Great catch!!!!! I always have a spare pack of batteries stored in the car. I think you can guess why!!!!!!
Those are great photos.....lots of detail for a sunny day. But who are they foolin' with that consist.. They should have had a massive AC6000 running UP 41's coupler............ With Katy and MoPac... along with a CNW a bloody nose SP and a Rio Grande (and any other victims) trailing,, facing away as if they just cant look on anymore...... then maybe a few gon's with Jimbo's heading to the torch.....
Tim, Excellent stuff I saw pics earlier in the week of the same consist. Are they stabled for any particular reason?
Paul, I have seen the MP and Katy locos thru Navasota on several occasions since shortly after Thanksgiving. The day I shot the pics was the first time I saw them with 4141. Alan, It may seem a bit odd, I am a professional photographer and I don't always carry a camera with me.
Great catch!! On August 15, 2005 I had the good fortune to see the UP1982 as the trailing unit on the ILCOA train that ran thru Chatsworth, California on the UP coastline. The train pasted by at 21:32.
