A Czech restaurant is opening a location in Chicago. They deliver beer by G Scale train! I'd need a siding at my seat. "Just leave it here Barkeep." https://www.dnainfo.com/chicago/20170615/downtown/beer-train-coming-chicago-all-aboard
I am familiar with this train system. It is made by a US company. http://www.turretbotics.com/g-scale/ It uses X-bee radio control. something like GPS, it knows where the train is at all times using RF.
Many, many years ago, (several decades now), there were a pair of restaurants in western Washington which delivered food by "G" scale sized trains. One in downtown Seattle, near the two Passenger stations, the other east across Lake Washington in Bellevue. Name of the two was "Hamburger Pacific".
Thought I recall a place that delivered drinks only, by Lionel train(s). Place your drink order and the train would deliver. What was interesting, is that each table had a "call button" at it. Relays and a computer would tell the locomotive when and where to stop with drinks. Think it was Model Railroader. Just how long ago......I have NO clue! Neat concept, however it's done!
The Choo Choo Diner in Des Plaines, IL is still in business, delivering by Lionel. http://www.thechoochoo.com/
