A 'Northwest Line' (Harvard Subdivision to fans) suburban timetable from 1973 I found the other day. The C&NW indeed operated a very fine suburban service. This brings back timely Christmas memories as a kid, riding the C&NW into the city with my Mom to shop and meet my Dad for supper. Toys were on the 4th Floor of Chicago's most famous department store -- Marshall Field, and several hobby shops could be found in the Loop downtown. I miss my green and yellow trains.
