    Hi,
I'm looking for some details about the CHTT company? Is this company still running? Who hauls their coal trains?

    thanks for your help.

I believe UP hauls their coal trains. I have seen CHTT cars on the rails in the last few months, so if the company isn't in business, their cars are still roaming the rails.

I believe CHTT is Chicago Heights Terminal Transfer, and I also believe it's become part of the UP.

CHTT was part of the Mopac, inherited by the UP. UP used the reporting marks for tax purposes, with CHTT cars often used on UP or private unit trains as fillers.

Like it's been mentioned, CHTT is basically a "paper railroad" that UP uses for the reporting marks. IIRC, it was originally a part of C&EI, which was absorbed by MoPac, and then by UP.
