The Barnum & Bailey and Ringling Brothers Combined Circus Red Train unloads at Biloxi, Mississippi for a 3-Day Show! [IMG] [IMG]

First, the Heffalumps ... They should have reserved Dome Cars ....

Then the train was moved forward to unload the other "Stuff" ..... CSX leading BNSF. Those are the Tiger cages on the next track over.

Now that's a bunch of STUFF!

Is this ramp Alan's next Product?

Hey Alan, do you think your ramp can handle the load?

Don't expect any photos from the re-loading ... that will start after the last show Sunday evening, and they must clear the Main and Beauvoir siding by 00:01 Central Daylight Time on Monday morning. I ain't gonna be there ... NO WAY!

Sorry about the dark photos ... they were much lighter in Photo Deluxe.

    Thanks a million Hank!!!

That sure brings back memories of my Dad taking me out to watch them unload back in the 1930's and 40's. What excitement! :D

    Thanks for the photos Hank.
I can vaguely remember circus trains here in the U.K. when I was a kid but never on such a grand scale.
    John.

    WOW!
    Beautiful!!!!!!
    What a magic moment!
    Thank you for sharing!
I've never seen a grade crossing blocked by both a train and an elephant at the same time!!!!!

By the way Hank, it seems to really be a magic moment because I don't see hoardes of people around the train! You seem to have it all to yourself! Was this a best kept secret?! Where are the hundreds of people that usually would be there to see something like this????

    Standing behind you maybe??? [IMG]

John, there were only about two dozen spectators, mostly mothers and kids, and yes, they were all behind me. The people in the photos are all Circus employees, even the young lady at the right edge of the CSX loco photo. She was initially herding us to a safe distance from the animals, then she herded the four camels when they were unloaded .... somehow I'm not sure I like being compared to a camel, but hey ...

Since it was early afternoon on a Thursday it's not surprising that there were no working types. Also, this area doesn't seem to have many railfans and rail modelers. The only club in the six-county coastal Mississippi area is having a real hard time finding members. :(
