Yesterday, I was bored and up in Orange county, so I thought I'd stop by the Fullerton train station and catch some Trains in the sunset. I noticed that my camera was on picture 24, so I grabbed another roll of film, Figured I'd snap a picture of the Santa Fe caboose and then wait. As I was walking to the caboose though, I could hear a train coming, so I quickened my pace thinking I'd get a grab shot. Then I hear the engines shift to run 8, so I move a little faster. Then I notice, HEY, There's no chugga chugga GE sound!!! Those are EMDs So now I'm jogging as fast as my bad back will let me, I round the corner, Pick up the camera, focus on the signals and BAM, the frame is split by the nose of a GP60M....Followed by 3 more, Awesome! And, I got a 25th shot. So, we'll see if they develop, it was a quick shot and I only got 1 and a half, but man, seeing those GP60's was awesome. Two Warbonnets and 2 H2s unfortunatly, but still.
It's a rare catch indeed to see solid GP60's in consist! I hope the pic is a keeper, cuz I wanna see it!
