I've heard around work that CN is in the process of assuming control of the BNSF New Westminster Subdivision from the Fraser River Bridge to downtown Vancouver. The trackage will most likely become part of the Yale Sub. On the plus side, trains and transfers will no longer need to make a booking with the BNSF RTC in New West before leaving Thornton.
So will BNSF operations remain essentially unchanged? Or are they reducing their presence? Boxcab E50
From what I've heard, dispatching on the New West Sub will be done by CN RTC's in Edmonton. A lot of BNSF trains from the USA already run directly to Thornton, I can see all the Canadian switching operations being absorbed into CN.
