YIPPEE!! Thanks, Gats. Now I can have a BNSF H2 C44. I have a friend who has a SP one for sale, so this should be ok? Will it have the modified front handrails? The only thing that gets to me is that it should have four windows on the side instead of three. Oh well. Also, you can change the handrails on the C44 to the correct style. The handrails are like $5 a piece.......not bad. Take care guys! ------------------ Craig Martyn BLMA(best looking models around) Custom painting and detailing

My comments on the GP20: Nice job, but you missed painting the step hand-rails white and the ends of those steps white too. Other than that, SUPER JOB! On the CW44-9: Where's the GPS dome? Just kidding... Nice job here too! ------------------ RAILROADING-TO-THE-MAX, Burlington Northern/Santa Fe Style! Brent Tidaback, Member #234
Thanks for pointing that out, Brent. I didn't even think to look at the pic before re-sending to Bob. I actually did it after that shot was taken. I was fiddling with the SLR under different lighting conditions, and was using it as 'guinea pig'. I have got a couple of digital shots of them (another GP20 and the GP10) after the paint touch-ups. heres a quick question for craig. where did you get the 4458 number on the dash 9,is it a newly delivered unit number i cant find it on my roster anywhere. and also atlas did not pay for this message : [This message has been edited by bnfan99 (edited 08 June 2000).]
Actaully, that locomotive was done for a friend and he picked the number, he also supplied photos of it. Well, I think BNSF is past the 5500 series and that is a 4400 series locomotive, therefor it is a little old (bout a year and a half I suppose??), but not that old. So Kato paid you this time, since they made the C44??? ------------------ Craig Martyn BLMA(best looking models around) Custom painting and detailing **Soon to come, N scale detail parts!!!
SHOW them the great lookin loco Craig! I think every one on the board would love to see it! Anyway, since i was too lazy to reply to your E Mail, BC Rail has a few similar units leased right now! Thanks Dane! The loco he is talking about is one that I sent him a picture of, it's a custom painted and VERY VERY detailed ex SP SD45, now in HLCX colors. This is the one that should (hopefully) be an article in N scale mag on how to detail N scale SD45's (and similar locomotives). It even has an SP style L window and an open back door. Right now I can not post the photo because it does not have a web address, I think. I will gladly E mail some one the photo though. Thanks! ------------------ Craig Martyn BLMA(best looking models around) Custom painting and detailing **Soon to come, N scale detail parts!!!
OK, let me see if this works. Here is the locomotive I am doing for N scale magazine. It is not done in the photo but you get the idea. ------------------ Craig Martyn BLMA(best looking models around) Custom painting and detailing **Soon to come, N scale detail parts!!!
Just wanted to thanks E8 for helping me out with that!!!!! THANKS!!!!! About the loco, it has air hoses, ditch lights, nose lights, SP 'L' window, lift rings, MU hose (gone in photo), modified MT couplers, frame mounted bell, frame mounted air filter (visible from photo), brass "see through" fans on top, air conditioner, winterization hatch, rear view mirrors, cab sunshades, GRAB IRONS (scratch built), an open back door, WITH window glass in place, and to top all of this off, it is custom painted with front and back number boards. Thanks for reading about this! I hope to have it come out in N scale magazine soon! Thanks! ------------------ Craig Martyn BLMA(best looking models around) Custom painting and detailing **Soon to come, N scale detail parts!!!
