Not sure if anyone is interested, but I got to see my first Coos Bay Rail Link train today. If anyone is interested we got a few in car photos of it while we waited at the crossing. For a "unprofitable" line by CORP standards, that train seemed pretty full and long.
This is the about page link below. It's a pretty good summery of the news stories that were published during the court runarounds. I'll upload the photos when I get a chance. We actually caught the train on the way out of town. http://www.coosbayraillink.com/about.htm
I like seeing the list of projects, and how they have obviously tried very hard to keep rehabilitation expenditures local. Looking at the map, I see it still extends to Coquille. Is there now some business on that segment?
I don't know. I was looking at their roster a while ago so I was surprised to see what I think were 3 GP38s. I'll upload the photos we sort of got when I get home Tursday or so.
I do apologize. We just moved to (and I'm not joking) 1.7 blocks away from Portland and just got internet again. Our new apartment looks like a forest of boxes.
