Anyone know there store hours or is it worth going for HOn30 things?
I here the weather in August is out standing :tb-biggrin:
    Do I need a coat?

Yea, bring a coat! You can use it to insulate your models to keep them from melting.
I don't think that you could have picked a worst time of the year to visit Phoenix.
110's and it is the monsoon season.
Don't know the hours of Coronado Scale Models.
If you can't find the hours, post again and I will call for you. I just tried to call 3 times, each time the line was busy.

If memory serves me right, Coronado's hour are 10-5 but they are closed from 12-1 for lunch. If you Google map them it will show that they are right on the corner. HOWEVER, the building is so non-descript and their sign is so small you mnight miss it. The owners are probably the most knowledgeable people around about narrow gauge modeling. That being said, I don't remember much in the way of HOn30 stuff in their shop. But they can order it for you and ship it for no charge. It's worth the trip just to see what they have and to talk to real narrow gauge pioneers.

Thank you for trying to call them woodone.
I'm going to the IPMS Nationals and have been to Phoenix .
Not sure why they pick August for a convention.
Live in New Mexico so use to the same type of weather but Phoenix is hotter.
Steve thank you for the comment ,I will still try going.
Just starting to get into HOn30 after a Nn3 try.
Might even change to some thing else.
Any other model railroad shops to try?
    Thank you for your time.

The big three are SW NG, Coronado, and Caboose Hobbies (Denver).

Coronado is the most revered (by far) for their expertise on NG modeling. I've noticed that many long time modelers prefer to go through them even if their prices aren't the greatest.

SW NG is best known for being the biggest seller of NG brass and the newer diecast locomotives.

Caboose Hobbies is known for being the biggest hobby shop and carrying just about every model railroad product in existence.

    Rick,
I just got off the phone with Coronado Scale Models. They are open 8 to12- then 1 to 5. On Saturdays they are there 8 to12.
    Hope that will help you.
There are a couple train only stores here in the Metro Phoenix area.
An affair With Trains, North part of the Valley. trains only. 10 to 5, closed on Mondays.
Roy's Train World, located in Mesa. Not sure of the hours.
There is a hobby store that has trains also. The hobby Bench. They have two stores in town.
    Still bringing that coat?

Anyway seems like Saturday morning is the best time and I google them on goggle map with a link to a photo of the building ,non-descript is the correct word.
Thank you for you time guys.
