I need to change the couplers out on 12 cars and 2 engines. The ones shipped are garbage. Any suggestions as to the best brand to use? N scale

Micro Trains are the best. What type couplers are on your equipment now?

MT's are very good , although they had a couple of bad batches recently, most noticably on the couplers on the Rapido passenger cars. I've also used a lot of Atlas couplers (accumate) with very good results. Either would be a big improvement over the Bachmann's.

What particular engines and cars do you have? We may be able to be more specific as to what type of Micro Trains coupler to use. Micro Trains trucks with couplers should be the easiest way to do the cars but engines vary.
