    Hello Everyone.

In the prospect of making my new caboose kit available for February 2010

I was planning to include (for the same price as the other caboose kits), a decals sheets that would have about 2 or 3 different schemes per kit (Of course the CP with Pacman logo would be the default one).
Since the structure is mostly the same for all the other scheme that I have found, I would like to know what would be the other 2 most demanded scheme for this particular caboose model.

It is very probable that I had forgotten a few schemes. Then select no.17 and write down the scheme. (Keeping in mind of the characteristics of the CP Model, for instance the UP caboose wouldn't be acceptable, since it is not of the same design, also, and I may have include myself some design that don't fit in this group, then just advise me)

The Poll will be open until December 23 (The date I will start working on the decals for the kit) And of course this is only open to Z-Scale enthusiasm, because I wont be making any HO or N scale caboose.

    1 CP White
    2 CSX
    3 Ontario Northland
    4 Burlington Northern
    5 Milwaukee Road
    6 Conrail
    7 Northern Pacific Railway
    8 Rock Island
    9 Delaware & Hudson
    10 Unidentified
    11 MKT
    12 Rio Grande
    13 NB Southern
    14 Burlington route
    15 Algoma central Railway
    16 Toronto Hamilton & Buffalo
    17 A model not shown!

John, what's funny is that when I wrote the thread, I was thinking of locking you out of the poll, since I definitively knew CSX would have been your choice, I was afraid the poll tool would have recognize your user and have an automatic cheat process to rig the voting that would have multiplied the CSX result by 10 or maybe by 100, in the background.

But I was not able to put any restriction on your user, LOL!:bear-laugh:

Ben, there is a simpler all yellow scheme with black lettering for D&RGW. fyi. might make it easier to produce decals for in one color.

NB Southern - Not a single vote

After 50+ votes, looks like only one is not loved by someone here...

Must be the Undecorated or Painted Primer Grey with no roadname?
How about one painted/lettered for TrainBoard??

Well, my initial "a model not shown here" choice shouldn't be to big a surprise, Soo Line. However upon closer look I realized that it wasn't the same. But I do like the CP's colormark version.

Here's the latest update for this poll that will close soon.
It looks like the main choice will be CSX, and a white CP, although NB is head to head with the CP one.
Both CSX & the NB real caboose, or (prototypical if you prefer) have corrugated roofs, windows that are not quite at the same places or does not have the same form, and both end handrails have different patterns. "BUT" they have characteristics that are close enough to the CP wide vision caboose. And it seems the big names in model trains manufacturer are using that design quite often for most of their road names cabooses.

(All those numbers were taken on 3 different z scale forums)

So back to the drawing board for the decals lettering........

Finally had finish the kit design. I'm leaving for a business trip next week, hopefully will start to package the kits when I'm back in mid February, at least the 3 types decals are done, and hurray! This time I was able to successfully laser cut them, all 3 kits schemes.

So here's some pics of the finish product.
