Don, Great photos! Did CP buy a bunch of UP locos on the open market or arrange to lease them?? Harold [ December 29, 2005, 08:55 PM: Message edited by: chessie ]
Posted by Harold: Harold, I'm not certain but I think CP bought some leased GATX units like the one below and slapped CP markings on them. GATX 2000 leads northbound CP (D&H) TOFC train just north of Central Bridge, NY. July 31, 1994
AAAAAHHHHHH! Much better! The "Scaling" was the problem. A little color adjusting also. I've got some rescanning to do. Before: [ December 30, 2005, 02:18 PM: Message edited by: Don Rickle ]
Near Schenectady, NY the D&H passes under Conrail's Selkirk Branch (actually the northern double track mainlines out of Selkirk yard ) which join Conrail's Chicago Line near Hoffmans, NY. The following were taken February 19, 1995. Eastbound Conrail heading toward Selkirk yard. Northbound CP (D&H) Manifest. [ January 02, 2006, 09:37 AM: Message edited by: Don Rickle ]
CP 5422 - 5431 where ex GATX 2000 - 2009 (ex UP / ex MP) they are sold now to NRE and LLPX... ...I still have mine
Steve, thanks for the info! I'll check my slides I might have that 5424 prototype. There was so much leased power on the D&H in 94-95' I wanted to puke...no offense. I sat patiently trackside for blue and silver but only got one trailing.
MLW's! One small one big. Binghamton, NY. May 21, 1993. Southbound crosses Conrail's southern tier line at BD interlocking and heads for the East Binghamton yard.
Yet more MLWs. May 21, 1993. Southbound. God, feels like 1974! [ January 11, 2006, 10:45 PM: Message edited by: Don Rickle ]
