Further south, just south of Richmondville hill at 7:55 AM Northbound CP intermodal with 5426 & 5422.


The train seen above at Cobelskill leaves the passing siding and heads south.

Harold, I'm not certain but I think CP bought some leased GATX units like the one below and slapped CP markings on them.

Near Schenectady, NY the D&H passes under Conrail's Selkirk Branch (actually the northern double track mainlines out of Selkirk yard ) which join Conrail's Chicago Line near Hoffmans, NY.

CP 5422 - 5431 where ex GATX 2000 - 2009 (ex UP / ex MP) they are sold now to NRE and LLPX...

...I still have mine

 

Steve, thanks for the info! I'll check my slides I might have that 5424 prototype. There was so much leased power on the D&H in 94-95' I wanted to puke...no offense. I sat patiently trackside for blue and silver but only got one trailing.

 

Never mind it is right here! Duuh. These were known as "Gators" don't ask me why.
