Does CSX own its own version of a Sperry Rail Car? A vehicle came by yesterday on its way to New Orleans that looked like a Sperry, but it was painted in New Future. Sorry I didn't get a photo, but its approaching horn sounded just like one of the big freight locos, so I wasn't paying much attention ... [ 05. Was it by itself or with other units or freight / passenger cars? Maybe it was one of the ex-Amtrak F40's? Harold
Nope, it wasn't an F40 ...I've ridden behind enough of them. It was definitely the shape of a Sperry ... had "driving" windows at both ends, sorta like a Juice Jack without pantagraphs, had a two or three windows down the side facing me, and was towing nothing ... !
