On those units the horns are at the rear of the engine compartment. Anyone know if that's how they were delivered or were they moved there? It seems that's how horns are placed on the latest GM units but not earlier to my knowledge unless they are late SD60s but they aren't I cabs so...

I checked the Diesel Era book on SD60's; all of the SD60M's pictured had the horn located anywhere from approximately the middle of the long hood (behind the exhaust vent) to immediately in front of the first radiator fan. (None pictured had the horns on the cab) Maybe this has to do with noise reduction...
