I have noticed that in CTRN trains on the UP there are CTRN BN UP CHTT DRGW CNW cars, the BN and CNW are three bays the rest are quads. I was wondering if anyone could help me with the numbers of all the CHTT-CTRN cars and the former road numbers(the ex BN and UP cars). sorry if this sounds like a totlay impossible to answer question.
I have a lot of photos of these cars but no compiled data. I could get road numbers and you could probably research based on those. (I think I'm reading correctly you want the former number series for these cars? Or just the current road numbers?) I am modeling one of these trains in N-scale (albeit a very abbreviated version)...and btw have some random one-off Trainworx quads for sale if you are interested. (Trainworx only sells 3-packs so I had some leftovers)
Well kinda both, I guess wondering the current car roster, maybe which are 3 and 4 bay cars. Secondly maybe what the old owner road numbers were. this is probably impossible.:tb-frown: I am trying to make a revised version I guess I might say. Some DRGW CTRN Ex BN CNW UP MP CEI all I have seen with CTRN reportings. Oh ya then there are the cars in the trains that are still the original owner. CHTT too... sorry for another confusing post!:tb-biggrin: Nothing like a CNW & SP -9 on a train of 3 & 4 bays......fallen flags!!!
I have seen dozens of these trains on the Moffat, but rarely captured car numbers.... Here's a few I have caught that may help, but they really don't show car numbers. I can post them, but they won't be of much help. The BN CTRN cars I have seen generally have 52XXXX-series numbers.
Hi, this is my 1st time in this forum and maybe running a bite late for this thread! I'm building an UP coal train with older and vintage coal hoppers, commonly seen in the rockies but in H0 scale. I visit often this website, railpicturesarchives.net when I'm researching for a specific kind of rail equipment. Regarding CTRN ex-BN coal hoppers check this link: http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/rsList.aspx?id=CTRN&cid=5&Page=1
