Hello, I'd like to build a mountain Alps / Swiss layout in Z scale and I'd like to add some arch stone bridges to it. Idea is to have a slope track on those bridges. Problem is that I can't find any suitable bridge in the shops so I decided to build my own. I'd like to ask you for some tips / tutorials to do so. I can find some nice works for H0 gauge, but I'd like to see some tutorials for Z (or at least for N) to see how people made it in such tiny dimension. How to make so small stone walls and how to make them nice and realistic. Thank you. ... bzzi
Welcome to my specialty. I've made tons of bridges and tunnel portals for my Swiss Gotthard layout. My first method was to carve them out of green floral foam (sometimes called oasis) and then coat them with white glue for structural stability. Recently I've been using an inexpensive 3d printer made by XYZPrinting. See attached picture of a tunnel portal for results. Best, -Rob
