Cutting On30 Cars...There must be a better way!

OK, so my first big run back into the hobby is to start making my On30 C & S Baggage Car look like a C & S baggage car...rather than a generic railroad baggage car. The first step is to cut holes for Grandt Line windows in the thing. I just spent 4 hours scoring one window hole with a hobby knife!! I have a blister on my index finger and my arm hurts. Surely there is an easier way to cut the thick Bachmann plastic WITHOUT the mess that the Dremel makes...any ideas???

Somewhere in my tools, I have saw blades that fit the X-Acto #2 handle. What if you drilled holes inside the proposed corners, and sawed the openings. Then finished with some careful filing?

Yeah I figured saw blades were the best option...no chance of picking any up this weekend SO....I took the chance and finished cuttiing the windows out with the Dremel. I cut short of the lines then filed the remainder out to fit. I think they came out ok!! The project has to go back on hold as I just realized I am out of Pullman green paint ...grrr...but maybe I can get some pics up of progress soon...
