Anybody have any recent info on the pending sale of the D&H? The last I heard was that the sale terms and conditions were set, and that some bids were in. That was about a week ago, but nothing since. Interestingly enough, one of the terms of sale was that it would not be sold to a connecting railroad...ie: GRS or NYS&W. Thanks, Bill
I hope that it does not also restrict any interchange? I know of some examples where this has occured. And it hinders the survival of the sold company. Makes no sense to me. unless the seller wants to get it back? Boxcab E50
I wondered about that too. The explaination for that could be that CP doesn't want NS in the bidding, (???) or is trying to satisfy the unions vis-a-vis GRS.
