Hi everyone. I'm new to the board starting my first ever layout. Just a small HO scale 4 X 8 for now but may take it out to larger later on. I just got the track layed out in final postion and will begin with permanet lay down soon. Have the tunnels ends and the dual track set up for that unsing different information I found. My local shop was out of the cork roadbed, next shop 65 miles away. Going there Tuesday so will pick up some then. I will have a ton of questions about how to do things and set up the DCC and yes many of them will probaly be silly simple questions but this is my first ever layout so please bear with me on that. Thanks Couldn't upload any pictures of it, sorry.
Welcome. I hope you had the not so local hobby shop put them aside with your name on the cork. Send us a photo of you trackplan. Jim
Welcome at TrainBoard, David. 4 x 8 is a good size for a beginner layout. You will learn a lot. Wolfgang
Welcome, David. You might visit our advertisers too and save yourself a long drive. Good deals there!
Welcome to the family! I would love to get a look at your track plan since I am starting a similar sized HO layout. I have been messing with DCC for 2 years now and am by no means an expert, but I would love to help where I can!
Welcome David. I moved the post you made with pictures of your layout to the HO Forum. You can find that thread here. We just say hello in this forum and then send you off to your scale forum for help with your layout. That way you will be in touch with folks that can help you. Charlie
David, I'm glad to have you hear. Besides the HO forum, make sure you check out the layout planning forum, and for DCC we have a DCC forum, too. Then there are all the 1:1 railroad forums. Best, Adam
