I plan to use turnouts on my DCC-enabled layout. What power do I apply to the frog? It should be DCC digital signals, with the polarity reversed if the switch is activated? How is this implemented?
    Thanks in advance.

Engines crossing the turnout will be leaving a station, so will be going slow and need power.

A wire goes from the frog to either a SPDT switch or an electronic reverser. The SPDT or reverser has an input from the rails or DCC bus. If you use a SPDT switch it has to be mechanically connected to the points so that it changes as the switch is lined. How you do that depends on what type of mechanism you are using for lining your switches.

If power-routing turnouts are used (such as Kato Unitrack), the frog is automatically switched to the appropriate rail for the selected route.
