Just thought I would pass along some info for anyone looking for modern cars that look good but don’t want to pay the high prices for them. I got a tip recently and had to go check it out. Sure enough my local Wal-Mart had some HO cars in stock for a $1.67 they apparently were made for Model Power. The company apparently broke the contract some how and is now dumping the inventory with an exclusive deal with Wal-Mart. The cars are under the brand name Malibu International. This is the list so far that I can find as to what is available not necessarily what’s in stock. As I have only seen a few of them. I have yet to see a VW "really would like a Beettle". I had to settle for a BMW 5 series in Blue and Black, Dodge Viper in silver, and a Porsche Cayenne in silver. At this rate I may have to open a BMW Dealer ship. VW Beettle (58-59?) The Walmart here in Holland MI also stocks Athearn John Deere tractors in 1:87 and 1:50 scale. I picked up the Model B and a 50 Series in 1:87 for $2.74 each and a Model B in 1:50 for $3.77.
