I have purchased a spectrum dash 8 and need to find a decoder for it what are my options? Also what is the best way to install decoders? Thanks TC
You don't mention what scale you are in. You can also contact a retailer like Tony's Train Exchange and they can recommend a decoder. They have been very good at helping me in the past. They have a toll free number and they answer e-mail, although a little slow sometimes. You could also check the manufacture's websites. I know that Digitrax has a list of locomotives and their recommended decoders. One thing you have to decide is what kind of features you want. Basic lights or special effects.
