Tonight I altered the DHVM to remove my Web Master email addesss from all pages and in it's place created a "Contact" page that can be reached from each page. This means every page was updated tonight but nothing new was actually added.

As you can believe, the SPAM I'm now getting each day is HUGE  so this is my slow beginnings to fight it off. If you what to send me an email from the DHVM web site itself, please see this section on instructions which will slowly be adjusted to fake out the SPAM crawlers from spreading my email out to every piece of junk you can think of and then some.

Sorry to hear about the troubles. As long as they don't put you in a position of needing to take your site down. That would be tragic!

With the current virus going around, someone with my name in their mailbox stupidly  opened an infected post. And last week I got a spoofed spam from myself!

The DHVM is safe and sound a growing like crazy every few days. [IMG]

For my web master email dhvm@rrmail.com that is tied to the site I've place a filer that will "Trash" everything that doesn't have the right Subject. This just means that if people send me email related to the D&H at that email address that doesn't use the right "Subject" line I won't see it. :(

It's importnat that the web site maintain a email address that can be clicked on so this email address is at the SPAMMERS mercy.

Darren, how do you access the photos of D&H steam on your site? I can't find any clickable links on the page. :(

    Two Ways:

    1) From the Home Pages, click on the "Railroad Era" button on the left hand side. From this screen, click on the "Steam" button on the left hand side. At that point you will have several option based on the Class of Engine.

    2) To get to the above page directly you can use this URL: DHVM: D&H RR Steam Era Roster

    Thanks!

I spent allot of time recently rebuilding it using basic FrontPage 2000 without much effort. If it wasn't for TrainWeb.org, I don't know where I could have built a web site of this size for free. [IMG]

I like that photo of a little camelback you've posted above. How late did those last? I'm sure that there are no such D&H units preserved?

As for the latter part of your question it is best stated on the BLHS Web Site:

    :(

This is why I have been working hard to obtain as many images people have before even those are lost to time too.

Here is a photo I purchased awhile back of old #1 "Major Sykes" that goes even deeper back into history.
