Well, its seems Steamtown has gotten themselves yet another accident. It wasn't anything serious, but this time, Delaware-Lackawanna's Lehigh Valley C420 414 derailed due to a failed switch point. This cause some damage to the truck as well as some damage to the loco as well. I found a collection of photographs showing the small derailment on RR Picture Archives here: http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/archivethumbs.aspx?id=88216.
So far it has not gotten out on all the rail forums. Steamtown has a lot of critics and they seem to have a lot of bad luck.
I have noticed that they have had a string of accidents in the last couple of years. This one will just be more fodder for those critics.
