    Thanks Russ!!!!!!! You da man!

The first picture shows an ex-UP engine on the I&O in Leipsic. A quick paint job to add the red and white nose was about all it took to change it over to an I&O engine. It's number remained the same after the change over too.

The camp car light warns the crews that there is an old camp car sitting on a siding along the NS main in Leipsic, right next to the old tower. The converted box car is dated from 1937. It's not the car that fascinated me as much as this cool warning light!

The third photo shows the remaining gang at Deshler on Sunday morning. From left to right are: KEN (SIR PRIZE); LARRY (LEGHOME); JOHNNY TRAINS (JT); and BRIAN. I'm sorry that Warren had to go, and we're missing his friend Ken from his club who was also traveling with him.

The next photo shows Sir Prize standing in the back of his pickup shooting a train in Fostoria. I'll bet that shot came out great! We had tornado warnings all around and didn't even know it. Sir Prize is from Florida and he said things felt kinda weird. he should know about storms!

The Domino Sugar tank car speaks for itself! I caught that in Deshler on Saturday evening as it was getting dark. Remember if it weren't for trains, we'd be cold, hungry and naked! Well, shortly afterwards we had steaks on the grill! EXCELLENT TOO! For $6 we had a steak, beans and homemade FREEDOM FRIES!

And the last C&O engine! I do believe it is a GP40? I'm sure I will be corrected here. LOL! That was a nice treat for me being that I live in CSX territory, but generally never see anything out of the ordinary in my neck of the woods.

And finally we have a shot from early Saturday morning in Deshler showing the frequency of trains in the area. A westbound turns south while in the background a northbound turns west. That was only the beginning of a parade of trains that lasted until the next day when it started all over again anyway!!!!!!!

Nice set of pix, JT. I am probably one of many who wished they could have been there too. However, with our meet in Danbury and this one, I hope a trend has been started and we will have more meetings.

Pat, (Peirce too!) I know you will be in town Memorial Day weekend.

On Monday the 26th, I have a railroad meeting in Brooklyn, and if you can spare 3-4 hours WITH your family I can be sure you all will be MOST fascinated!

Peirce, I trust Eric has been sending you the info also. I know it's a tough day for folks to get away, but this is going to be a good one!!!!!!!

Join Russ, Myself and maybe Long Island Louie for a few hours of very interesting stuff!!!!!!! Other buffs will be there too, although they are not members of TB.

I'd be more than happy to meet you all somewhere as long as we can get to Brooklyn by 9:30am. Anyone that has to leave early will be driven back to the subway.

JT, I sure wish I could be there. However, unless I get a last minute reprieve, the 26th is just another work day for me.

Yes, Eric is keeping me posted as well. I appreciate that.

Hey Peirce, I'm not sure what is next for the poor Cross Harbor.

They just inked a long term lease for their property in Greenville, NJ, but in the meantime there has been a petition to force them out of their yard in Brooklyn by June 1st! The New York Economic Development Corporation or whatever they are called has filed to abandon the railroad's property which the EDC owns.

Right next door is a totally unused yard owned by CP I believe. That thing has been sitting idle since it was rebuilt in the 80's! And they don't want the Cross Harbor in there either! But no one uses it!!!!!
