What is the best way to get a digitrax dh121 in a spectrum 2-8-0 and get the top back on the trnder? I have seen this on the web but cannot find the site again... Also can the plug be plugged in backwards on this engine?
    Thanks for any info..........

I cannot give you a specific answer other than get to Bachmann's web site. they have have a Q&A forum, some hokey name like Bachmann Bob or something like that, anyway ask your question there and they will probably send you instructions on how to put it back, I had to do the same thing with Athern.

    LOL

Thanks I did find some info if it is plugged in wrong the engine will still run but the headlight will not work. Just turn it around and everything works. I think if they were going to make a standard they would have made it so that it couldnt be put in backwards.

Kraydune, I agree, it's a 7 pin plug and receptical, it should have been made asymetrical. But then there are probably applications that the decoder has to be mounted in a certain direction?? Who knows, just another "oh sorry boss, it just sliped through the crack" blunder

I used the MRC decoder in mine, but they are similar sized I think. Anyway I had to remove the mounting post in the middle of the tender for it to fit. (another case of poor planning, woo woo woo did they put a post THERE?) . Just be careful to not break the mounting lugs at the rear of the tender when removing the shell. This is the only thing that holds the shell on when youre done, it is sufficient though....Mike [IMG]
