The variety of paint schemes on display (only one shot in "normal" D&H livery!) on this one class shows much of the D&H's tortured history. The frequent roster shake-ups, inconsistent paint schemes and aging equipment were signs of an unhealthy railroad, and I can't say they all looked beautiful, but I would've loved to have lived through it all.

I love the variety of paint schemes here. The classic D&H one is, of course, my favorite.
