On saterday I was flagging in the Lagrande Or sub station and saw the front end of a blue locamotive it looked simalar to the sd70 it had the up flag onits front end but i didnt get close enough to see it does any one Know about it ???
Most likely what you saw was one of the two UP SD70M's that were specially painted for the 2002 Winter Olympic Torch Relay train that was used earlier this year before the Salt Lake Winter Olympics. They are numbered 2001 and 2002, and are now travelling around the UP system in the regular power pool. thanks everyone ... No I work for a temp agency that was contracted to flag the crossings while the tie gangs are replacing the ties form lagrande or to huntington or how ever i am in to in scale and starting to build on a portion of the oregon up line ...
