    Hello,
I was really excited about purchasing the PR4 to make programming easier, I didn't realize what a pain it is to get it installed and running. I was hoping someone out there could help me with a computer issue.
Okay, so I’m trying to connect the pr4 to my HP laptop, windows 10. I can't get the communication port to work. I have tried everything to get it to work with no success. When under devices under ports it shows a yellow triangle.

Any guidance or direction would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Andy

Sounds like a missing driver, depending on the error message that is with the warning triangle. You probably need FTDI driver for the USB chip on the PR4 (just like the ones on the Arduinos).

im guessing you are the same guy on the Digitrax group. So I relied there, and I will here too. I agree with the drivers missing like @Pieter said. Go to the Digitrax website and then to the download section and get their instructions and the “Soundloader” software which will contain the drivers. Remove the PR4 from the computer, then install the Soundloader and once that is done, reboot the computer then plug the PR4 back in. It should work. If not then you may have to click the errored triangle and tell it to update driver, then select manual instal and point to the Soundloader directory.
