Digitrax SE8C Signal Decoder problems start up problems HELP! I have set up a SE8C as per instructions but canot get the signal to change from red when I throw switch to closed as the instruction recommended, I have tried to reset the decoder to factory setting as per instructions {reset the SE8C to its factory settings as follows: a. Press and hold the Option Button until the red LED starts to blink. b. Release the button, the red and green LEDs will blink alternately indicating that you are in Option Switch programming mode. c. Go into SWITCH mode on your throttle or PC. d. Select Switch 20. e. Close and then Throw the switch to reset the factory settings. f. Press and hold the Option button until the red LED stops blinking. g. Release the Option button and the green LED will stay lit. } I have tried this several times using sw 257 thru 318 , the switch shows on the DT402D Throttle, but the mast light will not change ,if it helps when I throw the switch the green ID LED will blink when switch is thrown, any help will be appreciated , I have been studing this for around 15 hours with no sucsess.
I had the same problem.....try reverseing the signal mast. I found that worked, and make sure its making contact. If that doesnt work try reversing at the board and then repeat with the mast head.
