You need to assign that function a Ditchlight option from the Function Outputs

The decoder does not have sound and when I bring that pane that you have up it doesn’t have the alternating box on it to check does that mean that you can not set them to flash and I have them to come on with the head light if they will not flash how do you get them to come on with f6 and work with the forward light and go off when in reverse and back ones come on and they go off when in forward

Not 100% as Ditch Lights are before the time I model, but it should have an option to flash, either from one of the effects or the special functions.
Sorry I could not be of better help

Which aux outputs are you using for your ditch lights?

You have to use aux1 and aux2 for ditch lights to make this work. The reason for this is that in the function outputs screen you can assign two different light animations to each of the aux1 and aux2 outputs and control those with their own function button.

Be aware that I only have set this up on loksound so not sure how it works on non-sound boards.

In the function outputs screen of the lokprogrammer set aux1 [1] and aux2 [1] as ditch light type 1 and tick grade crossing, LED mode and then alternate phase but only for one of the aux outputs. This sets up ditch lights to be steady on but flash for a short interval if a separate function key is assigned to trigger "grade crossing" in the function mapping screen.. not sure if grade crossing is supported in the lokpilot so results may differ.

For aux1 [2] and aux2 [2] ditch light type 2 and tick LED mode only and alternate phase but for just one of the aux outputs in that set like the previous step. Leave grade crossing un-ticked for both of these.

    Then in function mapping connect f6 ON to aux1 [1] and aux2 [1], f7 ON to aux1 [2] and aux2 [2].

When I put aux 1 and 2 the ditch lights flash on and go off on it will not stay on steady f6 and on f7 they will come on and flash why will they not stay on in f6

If I read your post right you are saying they flash if either f6 or f7 is activated?

If so it may be that the lokpilot doesn't support grade crossing. Try setting aux1 [1] and aux2 [1] to headlight instead of ditchlight.

Freddy go I want them to come on on f6 and want them to flash when I push f7

Right now they come on with F6 and then when I push f7 they will not flash till I turn off f6

I want them to turn on with f6 then when I push f7 they will flash with out turning off f6 and then when I turn f7 off they would be on and not flashing

I went in to the function and on f7 I turn off f6 when f7 was on but then the light go out instead of flashing

I think I understand. My experience is that the steady on will override flashing so you have to deactivate f6 like you are doing. I'm not aware of a way to make flashing override steady but I haven't really invested much time to try and make it work like how you want. Mainly because I like them steady but to flash for a short bit when sounding the horn like what I observe the real trains do.

The only thing I can offer is to setup an unused button to the grade crossing in the function mapping screen in the "logical functions" column. If that works then when f6 is active and lights are steady pressing the button you assigned to grade crossing would cause them to flash for about 5 seconds then go back to steady.

Using F7 (a latching button) means you will need to physically turn it off.

Make sure the two outputs for the lights have Grade Crossing checked (in graphic above) and that one of the lights is marked "alternate phase". Then, for F7, do NOT have any physical output selected, just the logical output "Grade Crossing".
