Hello, I'm Bob, and I suffer from biscalar disorder..............

I have lots of HO goodies, but due to space considerations I'm currently modeling in N.

Ima HO, started in HO in 1972 as a kid, dabbled in N scale from 1988-1991, left the hobby, my interests were in geared steam, not diesels.
Then in 2006, I have more disposable income, Bachmann has a sweet 3 truck Shay and a Climax, DCC is the norm, I was happy to jump back in feet first.

I model in HO and HOn3. I cast my vote for HO before I realized you could vote for more that one of the choices. Is there some way to add another vote for "Narrow Gauges"?

Indeed, I do. It all started for me over fifty years ago when my uncle bought me my first first train set. It was made by Marx. And then one day, I happened by a hobby shop and looked in the window at Athearn and "t" rail by Atlas. I was a goner... Put my pennies up on the counter and bought an Athearn flatcar, complete with the springs in the trucks and those little wooden stakes. I think it cost 98 cents. That was the beginning of what would one day become 110 locomotives, brass and building a complete, free-lanced pike. I am now 63 and have no desire to switch to anything else. By the way... "N" scale...? In 1959, what was that...? I do however remember S scale because a few people in the neighborhood had American Flyer setups... And to be truthful, at the time (and before I got my first), I thought that was tops... Model Railroader cost 35 cents and Trains was 50 cents!

Except for a 3 month flirt with N I've been in HO, (a bad experience with an early 80's steamer ). I gave the N stuff to my brother, he went modern diesel and is happy.
