This is my first post . (new member ) I have a black GM<&O flat car, a black Reading gondola , and a black Wabash coal hopper,,, All of which came from seperate kits put out by "Revell" about 1960. I purchased them from the local drug store one winter when I was bored kid . The great thing about them , once they are assembled , they are functional "O" gauge model train cars and they pull around the track just fine. They are identical in size to the Lionel, and are all plastic , although they are made so you can replace the plastic trucks with Lionel trucks. I'm not very computer literate or I would post pics. Maybe someone could help me with that also. Does anyone have these or have any more info (years made , how many manufactured ) . I wrote to Revell but did not hear back from them Thanks, Tom in Ohio:tb-biggrin:
Welcome to Trainboard Tom. Those kits sound interesting. I sure don't recall them but then I was only 2 yrs old in 1960. If you go to Railimages.com you can up load pictures there and link to them. Happy New Year, Greg Elems
I hate to redirect people away from trainboard as I love trainboard. Having said that... Your best bet is to visit an O scaler site with lots of traffic like this one here: The O Gauge Railroading On-Line Forum - Powered by eve community Also there is the atlasrr.com forum for O scale.
