    Hi,
I have been reading and learning from you all for over a year now. I'm new to the whole thing with DCC. I am building my first large layout in a spare bedroom, 15'x25'.
I have laid most of the main yard and the double track main line and have come to a point were I have not been able to find an answer for my problem.
Problem: wiring a double slip switch for DCC
I am using Peco code 55 electrofrog and I cannot find anything to help me wire it up. I know it needs 2 AR's, but were do I connect the wires?
    I have 2 MRC AR's with 2 red wires & 2 yellow wires each.
Where do they go ? Can anyone please give me some help, maybe a little drawing or some place to go that will show were the wires connect.
Thanks for all your information and help in the past. I hope someone knows what I'm needing and can direct me to something that will get me back on track.
    Thanks,
    The Oleguy.

    Thank You George,
I have read this site many times and the double slip switch that they discribe has insolated frogs. All the power is routed thru the rails just like any other type of switch.
I have the electrofrog type and have insolated the the frogs on both ends, it has 4 wires that are factory installed, but I don't have any idea about were to hook up the AR's. I sure can make it to short out easy enough.
BTW what part of the mountains of AZ are you from?
    thanks again.
    The Olegy

    Thanks,
I hope some one has an idea for me.
I lived in Joseph City, just east of Winslow, west of Hollbrook for a about 7 years.
I work on the power plants for APS there.
Spent a lot of weekends o Showlow and the Whitemountains up around Holly Lake.
    Thanks

    Oleguy,

it is actually fairly easy to wire a Peco C55 Electrofrog double slip switch. I have installed 3 of them so far and not used any autoreverser.

Just treat a double-slip as two turnouts: Each will need to have two sets of controls, either two switch machines or two manual controls.
You can route the power to each frog individually from one control, i.e. the left frog from the left control, the right from the right.
So it is like this picture times two:

Why are there 4 wires to a PECO double-slip? If you look at the switch from below the two wires close to each other (and more in the middle of the turnout) are the outside rails, i.e. the stock rails. Hook them up to your regular power feed or bus. The "outer" wires are the frogs, so each needs to go to the respective power-routing switch.

    I hope this helps
    Dirk
