Generally speaking, a HO Athearn Blue Box F7 in excellent condition would probably go for around $20-25, on average. Better deals can be had if you're patient and worse if you're not. A brand new Athearn RTR F7 can be found for around $35-40. I agree whoever buys it is going to strip it.
I'm thinking it might sell at $10, shipping included... Maybe. It might even sell better as a running mechanism, just toss the body shell away.
To Mike K. No, trust me, that mental state is far more condusive to becoming more critical about line placement and masking and details in general. It does take about four hours to mask one side of an F-unit, but it is straight. Oh mannn...hand me my calipers....no, man...those ain't clips...now you got them dirty...wait..what was I doing......oh yeah.....I need to mask this to make a line for the orange 'cause this is like for the Milwaukee Road...which one...whadda mean...yeah..there's plenty of roads in Milwaukee..and streets..and avenues and stuff like that but I talkin' THE Milwuakee Road. Well, it don't exist 'anymore....no you can't drive on it...well maybe if you worked for the CN, but you couldn't pass the test to get hired...why am I tryin' to 'splain this to you.... Mark
