Just wanted to announce that the Elgin, Joliet & Eastern Archive site has had a major overhaul. New look, new features, new everything. There's only a fraction of what's available on the site right now, but I'll be trying to add stuff as much as possible.

    Dave-

EJ&E sure is a railroad I don't hear much about these days!

Can you tell me when the Rockdale Line was abandoned? Was it possibly still there in the early 1970's?

Yes, it made it into the mid 80's and was then given to the short lived Joliet Jct. Ry. Which I believe was operated by Relco. That didn't last long though.

Just a thought. I have high speed internet and it took several seconds for this page
    http://www.ejearchive.com/page_models.html
    to load up.
You might want to section it off more. Example, use more pages and links to them. The o scale on one page, g scale on another. Ho can be sectioned up too.
Anyone with dial up will only be very frustrated.

Other then that it is looking good. Hope that was helpful.

Thanks. I thought I'd seen something about it in more recent decades.

I'd never looked at the site before, but now I'm adding it to my favorites. I don't think I've ever seen that many photos of Baldwin centercabs in one place before.

Yes, Louis Cerny's stuff is really good. I've probably got at least another 2000 shots from people waiting to be added, and a lot of those are the center cabs as well.
