Hello. Dale Jones here. Just call me Jonesy. I live in Eltopia Wa. along the N.P. (now BNSF) mainline about 17 miles north of Pasco. What I am searching for is anything on the history of Eltopia, esp. pictures of the depot and freight house. I have lived here all my life and know the history, but I'm always looking for more! I have a picture of the depot in the 50's before it was raised and I remember the last section house. I have sceen a post card of the depot, water tower ect. from 1913. This was on e-bay and I thought my $20.00 bid would take it. BOY WAS I WRONG!!! Two guys got in a snipe bid war and it went for $255.00!!! I sure would love a copy of that picture! Anyway, if someone has info about early "ell-to-pay" I am interested. Also if anyone is curious about the history of the place I have some good stories and info. Glad I found this group. Thanks for reading. Jonesy

Just want to update my posting and ask for any information and/or pictures on the towns of Eltopia, Mesa, Connell or Lind Washington, along the NP, now BNSF, mainline. Always looking to dig up more history. Jonesy 10/19/10

    Welcome aboard Jonesy,

I hope that you find the photos you're looking for. Eltopia... My, my... I was born and raised in Washington State and I've never ever heard of Eltopia. But there are more than a few places in Washington that I've probably never heard of. The crazy thing is, riding along in a car, bus or, yes...train, I've probably been through the town and didn't know it! And yes, eBay sometimes has some crazy bid wars taking place and sometimes the price can wratcheted up into the rafters. Makes you want to violate your standards when you see that happening. There are a great bunch of people here and I'm sure you'll being a part of Trainboard.
