Heard from the guys at Trainartisan that they are releasing the Empire State Express version for MSTS on Monday. It will be free but they would like anyone who downloads it to pledge a donation to the Firefighters widows and children fund in NY. I think that is a great idea, considering what has happened there. The Empire State Express once terminated at Grand Central Terminal in New York, not far from the site of the World Trade Center.
Chris, how did you get an early version to evaluate? I'm going to attach a couple of their latest pictures, including the cab, which we can all thank our wise colleague Watash for, no kidding.

The reviews are coming in and are mostly raves. Have any of you downloaded it and tried it? I am computer game challenged. :(

    Fitz,
As deep as I am into model railroading and railroads in general I don't have one train sim. How do i accomplish that? I'd be interested.... Looks fun. Specially the steamer! HA! :D

John, I don't have it either, so I'm no expert. The first step is to buy Microsoft Train Simulator, which if you shop around you should be able to get for about $30. Then contact Trainartisan on the net and download (free) the Empire State Express and any other add-ons they have available. The only problem I have heard is that you need a pretty high powered machine with super graphics and sound cards. SlimJim has put out a lot of info on it here on this forum. He is probably the expert. Chris also had a headstart on everyone with the TrainSim. Let's hear from you guys.

Fitz, I don't know if you were referring to me, but I sent those guys some pics of cabs of a 2-8-2 that I operated last summer and they sent me the engine minus the cab. It wasn't finished yet.

Chris, have you downloaded their ESE and tried it? I would like to know if people are happy with it.
