    Is polly scale engine black a flat, semi gloss or full gloss color, i need this info so i can start the painting process on my N&W sd45 hi nose

    From distant memory, I believe that you are correct.

    One way to test this, could be done by shooting some on a scrap box shell. Or other decent substitute of similar surface.
