    Good question , but don't quite know the answer . X file ? I didn't catch your post on About.
    Call from the cosmos is good.
    I didn't notice the age of the thread so all I can say is that I must have been looking at the " inspection pit " and it jumped out at me. I didn't notice until you bought it up how old the thread is and didn't know John had passed away.
    I was working in the outback in '04 and out of contact at that time with model railway news.

    I just picked up Great Model Railroads 2009 and there is a great article about John's layout.I too thoroughly enjoyed his writing,his sense of humor and his insight into planning for operations.If you are planning a layout,read everything of John's you can get your hands on,it will be worth the effort.
