Go to YouTube and type " LARGEST MODEL RAILWAY OF RUSSIA IN MINIATURE " i don't go in for those over scenic-ed MRRs with goofy, candy coated trains with ferris wheels and slot cars, different scales within, or those cutesy Santa's village scenes, et al. I am proto Ops. proto trackage, point to point, no roundy round or even continual, school; pure US steam, diesel or traction. Think Bill Darnaby, less is more. At first I thought this was going to be one of those ' no one knows what they're doing ! ' videos; all wrong goobly gock... BUt, this is REALLY something unexpected !! And in freezing, poor society, what's a hobby ?, Russia ....Gotta see this !! It's not my dream. But it's just plain unusually different..the enormity of the project....

Pretty incredible. Russia is not where I would expect to find something on this scale but then I know so little about the place. I'm especially impressed with the cars and trucks moving properly along the roadways. I differ from Mark in that I can enjoy a whimsical railroad as well as the more prototypical stuff but truly enjoy seeing models like this. Thanks for the link to it. Rick H.
