The UP called up the former CNW 11987 Jordan spreader to help fight drifting snow around Hanna, WY this past winter. An unusual amount of snow and the typical high winds played havoc with the railroad. The Jordan in now resting its wheels in Cheyenne as of 3/23/08. I am not sure why they have one wing extended. It has been that way for over a week??? Here is a roster shot of the Jordan spreader.
That Jordan has likely seen plenty of icy, brutal action in the granger states cutting through deep drifts and plugged cuts....
